The town received notification from a resident that we were using “Litchfield Fire Rescue”; that is a registered business name with the Secretary of State. This notification was delivered to the Town Administrator, Police Department, and the new construction general contractor. Additionally, he indicated that the town should be prepared to remove the name from the new fire station; and is also on the existing fire station.
The “Litchfield Fire Rescue” has been used by department since 1994 and is currently on the existing fire station located on Charles Bancroft Highway; so the town has engaged Secretary of State via our legal counsel to rectify the issue.
