Press Release – Regarding the Incident at 10 Evergreen Circle

Acting Chief Thomas Scotti of the Litchfield Police Department, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Nathan Noyes, and Hillsborough County Attorney John Coughlin announce the arrest of Ian Morris, age 25 of Jaffrey, New Hampshire in connection with an ongoing home invasion investigation.

New Hampshire State Police Major Crimes Unit worked with Litchfield Police Department to investigate this incident. Through the joint investigation, police determined that Ian Morris entered into a residence located at 10 Evergreen Circle in Litchfield during the night and assaulted a resident. 

Mr. Morris has been charged with Attempt to Commit Murder, two counts of First Degree Assault, two counts of Second Degree Assault, one count of Kidnapping, and one count of Burglary. Mr. Morris is scheduled to be arraigned on February 24, 2022 at the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Southern District located in Nashua. 

The charges filed are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Any request for further comment should be directed to the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office in Nashua.
