National Fire Prevention Week is October 3rd- 9th, 2021. This year’s theme is:           “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!

In observance of National Fire Prevention Week on Friday October 1st, the Annual Litchfield Fire Apparatus Parade will begin at 6:30pm.  The parade this year will start from the North end of town, leaving Litchfield Technology Park on Route 3A, heading north.  The route is reversed each year to allow residents at each end of town the opportunity to view the parade before dark.

Please be respectful of  Safe Social Distancing along the Parade Route.

From the Litchfield Technology Park, the parade will proceed north on Charles Bancroft Hwy, right onto Forest Lane, right onto Brook Rd which becomes Arcadian Lane. Left onto Corning Rd, Left on Forest Lane, Left onto Charles Bancroft Hwy heading south.  

Proceed south on Charles Bancroft Hwy to Colby Road. Left on Colby Rd, left on Roberts Rd, right onto Robyn Ave, left onto Ronisa Ave. From Ronisa Ave, right onto Garden Dr, left on Century Ln, east across Albuquerque Ave, right onto Brenton St., left back onto Albuquerque Ave. Head south to Hillcrest Rd. Left on Hillcrest Rd., right on Meadowbrook Ln, south on Albuquerque Ave. to Pinecrest Rd. Right on Pinecrest Rd., left on Brickyard Drive, left on Nakoma Dr. to Nesenkeag Dr. Right on Albuquerque Ave heading south. Right on Stark Lane, right back on Albuquerque Ave to Page Rd. Left on Page Rd. heading east, right onto Weatherstone Road follow the loop back to Page Road, right on Page Road, left on Pilgrim Dr. heading north. Left on Talent Rd. heading west across Albuquerque Ave. continuing on Talent Road to Charles Bancroft Hwy. Right on Charles Bancroft Hwy heading north to Hillcrest Road. Straight across Albuquerque making a right onto Liberty Way back to the fire station parking lot.

Our parade is a reminder to change the batteries in your smoke detectors, and to stay fire safe! 

Please join us the following day, Saturday, October 2nd from 1 pm – 4 pm for the return of our annual fire station Open House. Last year’s event was canceled due to COVID-19.
