The Town of Litchfield is accepting applications for a part-time (32 hrs) Truck Driver / Laborer position. Duties include, but are not limited to, operation of light and heavy equipment, plow truck with wing, general labor for repairing, cleaning and maintaining town streets, sidewalks, drainage systems, town facilities, buildings and equipment. Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five (5) years of experience in highway maintenance, truck driving and operating heavy equipment or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. A valid New Hampshire Class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement or ability to obtain license within 6 months of hire date is required. Successful applicant shall live within thirty minutes normal driving time for reporting to work and possess a good work ethic, positive attitude and be a team player. Must pass all background checks including criminal and motor vehicle, references and drug and alcohol testing. Work hours are Monday through Thursday 7am-3pm with mandatory overtime for snow plowing, emergency call-outs. Salary is $15.73 to $19.89 per hour depending on qualifications & experience.
