Litchfield Board of Selectmen
For Immediate Release
Although construction started this week to bring drinking water to 26 homes in the City of Manchester, the administrative and legal agreements of the Litchfield project are not finalized between Saint-Gobain, Pennichuck Water Works and New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES). The Town is anticipating information regarding the status of the Litchfield project will be announced within 3 to 5 business days; if not sooner. Upon announcement, there will be a public meeting to update residents and answer questions. This meeting is anticipated to be scheduled before the end of October. Upon project approval, the Town will be involved with issuing local permits and approvals and looks forward to working with Saint-Gobain, NHDES and Pennichuck Water Works to implement the water supply extension and to otherwise address this situation in a manner that ensures that the Town’s interests are protected.
